Pat Callahan

Founder & Chief Executive Officer

As Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Pat Callahan drives the vision, strategy and overall direction at Urban Renaissance Group (URG). Since founding the company in 2006, Pat has guided the team in delivering six NAIOP award winning projects and led the acquisition of Touchstone, a local development firm, which was named NAIOP National Developer of the Year in 2016. Pat brings over 30 years of experience in the real estate industry to his position, with experience in company acquisitions, portfolio acquisitions, major lease transactions, ground-up development projects, and major redevelopments.

Over the last 16 years, URG has moved from a start up led by experienced professionals to a best-in-class local operating partner. URG’s network of institutional partners includes KKR, Principal, AIG, USAA, Clarion Partners, Iron Point, Stars, BentalGreenOak, Rockwood and GAW Capital. These top tier investors provide URG the ability to match capital to opportunity and the ability to pursue large and impactful projects.

As a result, URG has built, acquired, and renovated over 18 million square feet since inception and has $7.5 billion of assets under management. The operating platform includes 12.5 million square feet of office and retail space. URG’s development pipeline exceeds four million square feet of office, retail, residential and hotel.

Pat is also deeply involved with real estate, civic and professional organizations, locally and nationally. At the Urban Land Institute (ULI), he is a Trustee and a member of the AEC and the Transit Oriented Development (TOD) Council. He also served as co-chair of the ULI Spring Meeting in 2017. At the Downtown Seattle Association (DSA), Pat has served as a director for over 20 years and served as chair.

Prior to founding URG, Pat held key roles at Equity Office Properties Trust (EOP). As Senior Vice President and regional head, he oversaw a business unit of 18 million square feet, 114 buildings, 300 employees and more than $450 million in revenue in Seattle and Bellevue, WA; Portland, OR; and Denver, CO.
