As Vice President – Regional General Manager at Urban Renaissance Group, Shawn Jackson is part of the leadership team involved in strategic regional and company related decisions. As part of that role, Shawn directly oversees the operations and leasing teams for the Puget Sound Region. Shawn‘s primary responsibilities include liaising with owners, producing guidance for significant capital projects, operations and leasing. Over the past five years, Shawn has participated in the negotiations of numerous lease transactions and has overseen more than $50M worth of Capital and Tenant Improvement work in several key assets.
With more than 30 years of commercial real estate experience, Shawn has held significant positions at some of the most prominent real estate firms in Seattle. Formerly serving as a Director for the Hanover Company, he was charged with the acquisition of strategic development opportunities throughout the Northwest, including the Seattle and Portland markets. Prior to that, Shawn was a Senior Director at Equity Office Properties Trust (EOP), which was the largest owner of commercial office buildings in the United States at the time. During his tenure at EOP, he completed hundreds of real estate transactions valued at more than $100M, including participating in the largest transaction of 2006 in Seattle, which ultimately won the NAIOP’s 2006 Deal of the Year award. Shawn worked on many trophy properties in Seattle’s central business district while at EOP including Wells Fargo Center, Second & Seneca, 1111 Third Avenue, 1201 Third Avenue and Columbia Center. Prior to his time at EOP, he was Vice President at the Benaroya Capital Company, and was also a member of the development team for the Metropolitan Park North Tower project and subsequently completed a full-building 137,000 sf deal with Nordstrom.com.
Shawn holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Marketing from the University of Idaho, as well as a Real Property Administrator’s designation from the Building Owners Management Association (BOMA) International. He is currently a member of the Seattle Spsorts Commission Board and a past member of the BOMA Board and NAIOP.
